You
may not recognise Howard Goodall's name - but you'll certainly
have heard his music. Most famous for his television themes,
he's also composed music for films, theatre and the concert
platform.
Among
his best-known works are themes for Blackadder, Red Dwarf and
Mr Bean. He also created the memorable setting of Psalm 23 for
The Vicar of Dibley. Additionally, Howard boasts an extensive
portfolio of choral and orchestral scores that are performed
around the world.
A
chorister of New College, Oxford and a graduate of Christ Church,
he knows a thing or two about classical organs.
Howard
has recently completed a series on the 20th century's great
composers for Tiger
Aspect . In the programme, featuring Leonard Bernstein,
Howard worked closely with Christ Church Cathedral Choir and
the Rodgers organ Howard specifically requested is featured
throughout.
