Hereford Cathedral chose a Rodgers 967 during the restoration of the famous Willis Organ. As the Cathedral runs an extensive music programme, it required a temporary instrument capable of accompanying daily services and leading large congregations.

The Rodgers 967 is a large 76-stop three-manual organ with floating solo division from the Trillium Series. A powerful 32-channel audio system was placed in the triforium opposite the Willis case and the console was placed downstairs in the choir.

The Rodgers 967 was used to accompany some significant services including the Service of Welcome and Inauguration for the new Bishop of Hereford. It was also used at the ordination and the RSCM diocesan choir’s festival.

Geraint Bowen, Organist & Director of Music at Hereford Cathedral said:

'''When we needed a first-class electronic substitute for the cathedral’s pipe organ while it was being rebuilt, a Rodgers instrument was an obvious choice. We have been delighted with the result and have received excellent service at every stage of the installation".
